When to visit the Sagrada Familia

It’s always a good time to enjoy the city of Barcelona and visit the Sagrada Familia temple. In any case, it is advisable to keep in mind that the visitor numbers evolve in parallel with the tourist season and vacations.

Predictions indicate that in 2024, more than 4.7 million people will pass through the Sagrada Familia Basilica. For this reason, we recommend avoiding, as much as possible, the Christmas, Easter, and summer periods to enjoy a more comfortable visit.

We also recommend buying your Sagrada Familia ticket in advance to avoid any last-minute problems.

Sagrada Familia Floor Plan

The Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia is an unfinished work, but much of the base of the basilica is already definitive.

It has three facades, which are the Nativity (the one made by Gaudí), the Glory, and the Passion. Inside you will find a classic cathedral layout, with a cruciform floor plan, five naves, a transept, and an apse.

The towers rise above the structure, with the towers of Mary and Jesus being the tallest. The temple will have a total of 18 towers. You can see more floor plans of the Sagrada Familia in our article dedicated to the topic.
